Teak Furniture is some of the most elegant patio furniture crafted. With Teak furniture elegance and beauty it needs to be oiled and regularly maintained.
Teak Wood is a naturally dry wood and all wood has natural occurring mold spore that are activated with water. Teak wood has to be oiled and maintain a layer of oil to protect the natural wood from the mold spores being activated.
If the teak does not maintain a layer of oil of protection the mold spores will be activated and the wood will turn grey or black. Once the oil protection layer is gone the wood grain will raise making the wood rough and splinter.
HOW DO YOU RESTORE TEAK FURNITURE?
Teak Furniture restoration is taken threw a few steps. The first step is stripping the teak furniture. Second, the teak furniture restoration is sanded to remove the raised wood grain and preparing it to soak up the teak oil. We apply multiple layers of teak oil lightly sanding in between each layer, given the finial product a soft and smooth feel.
